This place is amazing! Every time I’ve been in there service is spot on. These guys know what they’re talking about and I never feel over charged. I’m not going to lie, I have no idea about bikes what so ever and don’t know a thing about fixing them. I always feel safe going here and have always been happy with the price and service. It’s also independent which makes it even better 😃
Excellent service all round, competent polite and enthusiastic . Matt has worked on many of my bikes over the years. He's built wheels for me , serviced shocks and carried out general services . All work was to an excellent standard. The best bike shop I have used . Do not confuse this shop with one that used to be on the same premises, as one other reviewer has.

These guys were great. I needed an urgent service because i had come off my bike, they advised me that there was a 2 week wait but if i wanted to drop off they would have a look if a slot came up. The next day they called me to say they were looking at bike, we had a good chat about what needed fixing and they were very clear on what my options were and potential costs. The next day they called to say the bike was all done as stated. Very happy with service, very helpful friendly people. I highly recommend
We've used Jake's Bikes twice: once for an ancient and very challenging Dutch bike and once for a more modern but basic Raleigh. Many bike repairers turn a little sniffy when they see our bikes and understand our very basic level of commitment to cycling (doers - not "enthusiasts"). Not so Jakes bikes: we've only had courtesy, great quality work and the time spent to fit properly, explain properly and just make sure all is good. All this and genuine value for money. Their range of Bristol Bikes looks very practical as well. Thank you Jake and team.

Excellent service. What I appreciated most was honesty. They didn't just tried to sell me anything no matter the cost. They really wanted to find the best match for my needs. They were very educated on what they're selling.
I knew the bike that I was interested in (Cube Reaction Pro) which was in stock and on demo, and which I was able to test ride. I'm a very experienced cyclist, and Chris was very knowledgeable about the range and super helpful in finding exactly the right size and options for me, at a very competitive price, as well as explaining how to get the best out of the bike, and its suitability both for commuting (Bristol-Bath) and weekend off-roading. He answered all my questions, and turned around the order very quickly and efficiently. After sales service is also excellent, and I feel like a valued customer - really exemplary service in all respects. If you're after an electric bike in Bristol (or even further afield), this is the place. Highly recommended.
