Not dog friendly. Proper pub with all sorts of magical nooks and crannies to sit in. Great garden. Really great. Lovely beers. Love the place. Well worth a visit if you like real pubs, with old school solid food and good service and character. Just a shame about the dog policy.
Great atmosphere. Characterful. There was a sea shanty type singing troupe filling the pub with amazing sounds. Was very busy and the bar is small so gets tricky to get served. Was offered a tray for the drinks 👍 Decent beers.

Excellent place to get beer or cider. There's a good choice with enthusiastic and knowledgeable bar staff. Well worth a visit, just a few minutes from Bristol uni and Whiteladies Road.
What a great venue. A proper place to sit and drink and talk. How many pubs offer you a taster before you buy?

This is a real sports bar. Televised sport plus around 12 snooker tables and 3 dart boards. Plus some good food at lunchtime and excellent pizza in the evening. Casual place basic decor. If thats what you want its great.
Great atmosphere to watch the football and great at all other times too! Pizzas, nice garden, cheap

Can't fault this place and has just won best restaurant in Bristol, which is thoroughly deserved. Had the tasting menu and the wine flight on my visit and the flavours complemented together really well. Staff were very well informed and explained each course as you went through. The wine waitress was equally as informed on her wines. Love coming to this place and will be back soon
I went to Wilks last night with my parents. The food, as others have said, was excellent - extremely high quality and much care and attention had been paid to each course. However, I can't help but think there are other restaurants in Bristol which I would choose over this one next time I'm looking to celebrate a special occasion. Aside from the eye-watering expense, the service was efficient although quite aloof at times. It's a very formal affair compared to other establishments in Bristol and, for me personally, I missed the more relaxed feel. It really depends on what you like from a restaurant but if you're like me and prefer to be able to hold a conversation slightly louder than a hushed whisper and don't want to feel like you're being given the once-over by fellow patrons, I'd look elsewhere.

Quite a compact place to eat but very nice food. Service is everything you want nothing more nothing less. Food came in an appropriate amount of time. Prices slightly more than you'd expect for a good steak or lamb, but very much worth it. Would recommend but not go back in a hurry as there are many other places to try on the same stretch of road and near by. Ticked this one off our list.
I went here with my family (8 adults + 2 kids) for a Birthday meal on a Saturday lunch. We were really well looked after. The food was very seasonal with lots of local produce, everything was delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough. It is also very reasonably priced (my sisters visiting from London couldn't believe it!). Thank you Greens.

We love Poco. This is a great little place in the heart and soul of Bristol. Poco is famous for its small dishes and excellent attitude towards food. The walls are covered in pictures and information about where the food is grown / reared in the areas surrounding Bristol and you do get a sense that they genuinely care, rather than it just being a gimmick. The plates are varied and delicious, well worth several visits to cover all the available options and ratio of veggie and meat dishes is balanced and all are delicious. There is a short but interesting cocktail menu, along with wines and the usual local beers and ciders. Last night's favourite was the tequila and marmalade cocktail: 5*. The seating at the front is very informal, some face the ever- entertaining people's republic of Stokes Croft and some are design for small groups to sit around on high stools. At the back is more intimate and cosy, with wooden tables configured to meet the evenings diners. Great for a romantic 2 or a party of 10 equally. Overall a great place with the only gripe being the wait on the ever popular cocktails. If it's busy, order drinks straight away or you food might arrive first. As ever, thanks to the team of knowledgeable and friendly staff at Poco.
Not your traditional kind of Spanish tapas meal, as they use local ingredients, but amazing nonetheless. We went on a Saturday night and had the set menu for 2, about 40 quid I think, which was a pretty generous amount of food (8 tapas dishes), and included some pretty impressive plates for a set menu, the mussels and pork belly were the highlights. Definitely worth a visit.

best Chinese I've had in Bristol. Really fresh ingredients and not saturated in fat and salt which is perfect. we had the meal for 2 for £26 i thought it was really good value for money taking into account the quality and amount of food you get. We had enough for dinner and lunches he next day. Really satisfied with quality and service definitely be visiting here again.
Lovely local spot to eat. Comprehensive menu and super friendly owners. Recommended.

As a Chinese students, I'd say this is the best Cantonese fast food in Bristol. It tastes the most authentic though it's a takeaway restaurant. It's always been my first choice among all Chinese restaurants here. Compared to other Chinese restaurants(I have tried all of them), Fresh gives you the most amount with the lowest price. Trust me, it's the only authentic restaurant here in Bristol I''ll give that to them.
Duck pancakes were delicious. Reminded me of eating out in Hong Kong.

Lovely and friendly staff, have a few pleasant chats every time I visit. Food is always tasty and well priced.
I love it and there lovely people and the food is delicious!!! I order here when I decide to treat myself and I'm always happy 😊

Quite possibly the best curry in Bristol. Reasonably priced, authentic tasting curries which are more individual and flavourful than those from other restaurants in the area. This small restaurant is popular with locals and regular Customers. There’s a friendly vibe and it’s always busy. There seems to be a regular flow of Customers picking up takeaways. Staff are busy but attentive. The cook will make your food to your liking. A nice bonus is the free shot of Bailey’s at the end. Parking is on-street and generally OK after 6pm.
Friendly staff, prompt service, tasty food and good value

Ate here last night with friends and can't fault the service, the price or more importantly the food. They were even happy to box up some of it to take home. I can't comment on the takeaway service but to eat in I recommend it.
I have tried a fair few curry houses in the area and settled on Jubo Raj. Excellent food, friendly service, discount on collection, what’s not to like! I would like to dine in, but a lack of baby-chairs makes it impractical, otherwise excellent food everytime.

As avid Indian food eaters, we find Neeshad's excellent for food quality, customer service and menu selection. We order take-away from Neeshad's often (even though we have curry houses closer) and are never disappointed. Big thumbs up! :)
Friendly staff, good food. Booking process could be better - we had booked but when we arrived there was no record of the booking...

Some items in menu not available. Went for fixed price menu. Very reasonable!! Food excellent and service good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location and standard of environment very good. Varied clientele leading to a highly enjoyable lunchtime experience.
Really good food (clean plates all round), good menu choice, child friendly (high chair and kids menu available) and VERY accommodating (they even popped out to get a banana!). Staff were all polite and worked well together, and the bill was not a surprise at the end - all very reasonable, especially for the quality. I also noticed that there were menus available that had additional information for various food requirements (gluten free etc).

Cozy restaurant with good food and friendly staff.
The real deal. Friendly, great food, you won't go hungry. Or miserable.

Best Italian pizza in town. I have been to this restaurant several times and I have never felt disappointed. Wide selection of pizza and antipasti, and they have "exotic" ingredients which are difficult to find UK shops. Even though the place is quite big, I recommend booking before coming. They open the front glass wall when the weather is good, which is quite nice too. Staff are friendly and always around taking care of you.
Very nice pizza and good service, pricey but reflects the tight margins and quality ingredients. Great ambience, would dine here alone and watch the pizza chefs from the dining bar.

Value for money and bring your own beer or wine
Great food at a very fair price and nice staff

Sublime tasting menu, full of delicately balanced dishes. The service was attentive, if a little rushed. The wine flight complimented the menu perfectly. Black pepper macaroon with duck liver parfait was incredible, as was the croissant mousse in one of the desserts.
A fantastic dining experience. Bulrush were very accommodating of mine and my partners dietary needs (both of us being Vegan) as well as maintaining an excellent standard of food. The service was phenomenal, the best I have ever experienced. Our waiter Oscar was personable, informative and enthusiastic whilst maintaining an air of professionalism at all times. All in all, we had an amazing culinary experience, sampling the very best cuisine Bristol has to offer. I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Thank you again Bulrush.

Amazing price and great selection of food clearly cooked extremely fresh. Bottomless soft drinks are a touch! Class service thanks guys. Really fun experience creating the burger yourself
Had a great time here. Built up my burger way too high with toppings but tasted great. The sides are huge! And the garlic bread is soft and delicious

Thanks ever so much to owner and cocktail guru Andy for providing us with a brilliant team event last Friday – everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and we will be recommending you! We really appreciated all the knowledge you shared, and the relaxed atmosphere, as well as the chance to both make and enjoy the cocktails. We also thought it was brilliant value for money - with a private bar for 2 hours and 4 drinks each!
Headed to Bristol for a bank holiday weekend with the girlfriend. Stumbled upon flipside cocktail club as it was close to the hotel. Amazing staff and even better music, what can I say.... every single person that is associated with this business is an asset. Best bank holiday ever!

Really friendly staff and a great selection of drinks!
A BIG THANKS to the team at Bar 135. Not only is it a brilliant private hire venue, lovely decor, yummy cocktails...but the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your night perfect! Had an unforgettable 30th Birthday Party! Thanks again :)
Whiteladies Rd, Bristol BS8 2PH, UK – 0117 973 3926
Came here fo a birthday and I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough! We couldn't find it initially as its tucked away, but entering through a phone box was great! The staff were absolutely above and beyond accommodating, and the drinks were just on another level! And even when we switched to 'traditional' cocktails, they were equally amazingly made. Great ambience and the whole experience absolutely made our night.
Love this cocktail bar. Staff are amazing - they really know their stuff and are super friendly. Cocktails are unusual and the choice changes regularly. Plus they will make you anything you ask for - just tell them what you like - base spirit / sweet / sour / spicey etc. Need to book a table though, especially at busy times.
