Cinemas around Bristol

Everyman Bristol

44 Whiteladies Rd, Bristol BS8 2NH, UK – 0871 906 9060

Hands down, best cinema experience to date. Fantastic customer service with drinks / snacks being served at your seats. Seating is fantastic and decor is great too.

Great cinema. They didn't check my ticket though! It's very much the Whiteladies Road cinema that I remember from my youth, just with some important upgrades to the picture, sound and seating. Bloody expensive, so I won't go often, but as a treat, I'd say it's the best cinema experience in Bristol.

Cube Cinema

Dove St S, Avon, Bristol BS2 8JD, UK – 0117 907 4190

A great place with a somewhat old fashioned vibe to it. It feels homely and relaxed, to be able to have a cup of tea or coffee, or an alcoholic beverage while watching a movie. Very great prices and friendly staff. Great selections of movies. Make sure to book your ticket in advance cause they usually sell out the day before the screening!

Bristols best independent cinema, super friendly and even has comfortable chairs since the still old fold down original seating has been renovated.

Showcase Cinema

Glass House Ln, Bristol BS1 3BX, UK – 0871 220 1000

The cinema itself is very nice and the seats probably more comfortable than any other cinema i have been too. It isn't cheap but i guess it is what you would expect in central Bristol. The only annoying thing is parking. We came to Cabot Circus to simply watch one movie and then go home. It was a Wednesday morning. Parking cost £4.30. Yes, that's right £4.30 just to park whilst watching one movie - off peak time too.

The entrance to the cinema is very nice it has a bar you can sit and have a drink In or get a pint for your film. The price is good and you can park for £2 after 5pm which is a nice. I was in screen 7 the seats where not the best and the arm rest do not move, maybe the other screens are nicer don't know. A major problem was the fact they have bright orange floor lighting so when watching a horror film trying to get Into it and the whole floor is orange very off putting.

Theatres for Bristol

Kelvin Players Theatre

253b Gloucester Rd, Bristol BS7 8NY, UK – 0117 959 3636

The most professional non-professional theatre group in the city! The Kelvin Studio is a great theatre space, with its own rehearsal room and bar. The new foyer provides an improved entrance, box office and more accessible facilities for disabled visitors.

Went to watch my first play at the Kelvin players along Gloucester road last night and thought it was just great. The play "A Bridge With A View" was very good and a great introduction to Kelvin Players. Not only was the acting and story line great but the whole staff up there were very friendly and made you feel at home. Defo would recommend that experience to all

The Alma Tavern & Theatre

18-20, Alma Vale Rd, Avon, Bristol BS8 2HY, UK – 0117 973 5171

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere, look and feel. Great vibe and for our family and friends to meet for a chat and a drink. We didn't eat here but the food we say looked good.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere & great food down one of Clifton's most pleasant quiet and leafy streets. The garden in the back has the sun on it during the summer... and there's a 50 seat theatre that puts on some great shows (I might be biased though, as I was in one of them!)

Redgrave Theatre

Percival Rd, Bristol BS8 3LE, UK – 0117 315 7602

Delightful staff and lovely music. The seats do not give enough legroom and the auditorium was very hot. Otherwise it was a nice intimate venue for a band to play in.

Great space, seen two great plays here. Just a little warm during the hot spell this summer.
